Saving Energy Dollars
Energy dollar savings are realized from either of two areas:

Utilizing the electric energy in the most efficient manner OR purchasing energy at the lowest overall cost. See the rates section for available rates on the Lodi Electric System.

Some suggestions to follow:

• Purchase high efficiency appliances, refrigerators/freezers, air conditioning units, low water usage washers, water heaters. Our Residential Appliance Rebate can help.
• Utilize programmable thermostats to control heating and air conditioning systems.
• Install fluorescent lighting whenever possible.
• Install insulation and multi-pane glass in windows, insulate water lines, use low-flow shower heads. Have your duct work and insulation repaired and/or upgraded with the Residential Air Duct Testing and improved attic insulation program.
• Plant deciduous trees to provide shade in summer and allow the sun's rays to provide heating during the winter.
• SHARE discount.
• Special Medical Rate for customers who rely on electrically powered medical devices.

Lodi Electric provides:

• Energy audits to assist customers in improving the use of electric energy.
• Power quality analysis to determine problem areas that adversely effect the customers' ability to efficiently utilize the electric energy.
• Pulse output from the electric meter for the customer to use in energy management systems.
