Community Development Block Grant Program
About the Program
Since 1985, the City has participated in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, which distributes federal funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) each year.
HUD, using a formula that accounts for population, poverty and the age and condition of the housing stock, determines the amount of funding available for the City and local community-based organizations to use toward projects and services within its boundaries.
CDBG-CV Program
The City expects to receive approximately $796,000 in CDBG-CV funding. To allocate these funds, the City must amend the 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan, 2020-2021 Annual Action Plan, and Citizen Participation Plan. Starting December 11, 2020, the draft amendments will be available for review in the file links below. A public hearing for approval of these amendments will be held on December 22, 2020. Public hearing information and how to comment on the amendments can be found in the Public Hearing Notification below.
